Set El Hosn

مقهى ست الحسن — قهوة دمشقية بروح البيت الشامي

A restored Damascene house in the old city — specialty coffee, a stone courtyard, and the kind of hospitality this street has known since 1960.

The House

Black basalt, green shutters, and a fountain that never stops

Push open the studded wooden door and the street disappears. Inside: a vaulted ceiling, arched windows glazed in red and blue, a checkerboard marble floor worn smooth by sixty years of footsteps, and a fountain running quietly at the centre of it all.

It is a Damascene house first and a café second. That order matters — it is why people stay.

The Bar

What we pour

Espresso

Specialty Coffee

Espresso, cortado, flat white and the long Damascene coffees, pulled to a written recipe every single time.

Iced tea

Signature Mocktails

A row of tall glasses along the bar — citrus, mint, berries and soda, built to be looked at as much as drunk.

Shisha

Shisha & Long Evenings

Clean coals, fresh heads, and a courtyard that stays comfortable long after the street has gone quiet.

Since 1960

Every cup, served as if it were the first of the day

That line is written into our staff handbook, and it is the closest thing we have to a philosophy. Beans ground to order, milk textured properly, cinnamon and cardamom measured rather than guessed.

Sixty-six recipes, all of them written down. None of them rushed.
